Hello! Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit more about me.

One thing you and learners reading my content will never be is bored. These days we focus so much on trying to appear impressive; use big words, include all legal terms, that we forget the true goal of providing content. We want people to actually learn and absorb what we’re trying to teach them! Things need to be relatable, entertaining, and DIGESTIBLE. I can promise you that most mandatory training is unfortunately usually completely clicked through with barely any reading. Quizzes are taken and retaken until a passing score is obtained.

Did they learn anything? Or did they just check a box?

What’s more efficient, simply covering legalities for WHEN they mess up because they never learned it? Or actually making it understandable so they don’t make the mistakes that lead to risk.

This is where I feel I differ from most learning and development leaders and one of my greatest strengths. If we can’t explain something to a level that any person can understand it, then we have no business teaching it. The goal of teaching is for the person to learn, not for me to sound impressive. Conversational writing like this is what makes learning natural! Using real life examples, pop culture references, and above all jokes, that’s how you reach your audience! We are in an age where my course is competing with tiktok, netflix, people nearby, and more. If we don’t change the way we think about teaching then we will never evolve.

So, How did this become my mission?

I’ve had a passion for teaching all my life. When I was able to help one of my little brother’s friends who had a learning disability pass the state standardized test, I realized I had a gift for patience, empathy, and making hard things simple. I tutored kids all through high school and in college!

I obtained my Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida. While pursuing said bachelors, I worked as a medical scribe at emergency and outpatient clinics. Let me tell you the training for this was intense! It was basically a mini medical school crash course. And yet, I found myself more engaged than any of my college classes. Somehow, these 20 year olds were explaining anatomy and physiology better than any of my professors. I was genuinely understanding what they were saying. THIS is what is was all about. If I can be a part of making that moment for anyone at any age learning any topic, then it brings me the greatest fulfillment.

Through this work I developed an interest in healthcare management and hearing disorders in college which led me to purse a Masters in Healthcare Administration and a Doctorate in Audiology. These unique experiences have been able to provide me with diverse point of views in training. I was finally able to see both sides of the table as a student and as a Doctor.

My methods include applying adult learning strategies such as ADDIE, Andragogy, Scenario Based, all while keeping topics light hearted and knowing who my base is.

My core values are based in emotional intelligence and making work a safe and enjoyable place for all. This is why I named my training company “StayGood Learning” with the promise to stay good in compliance and in integrity!

My expertise is making coursework that even I wouldn’t just click through!

In my personal life, I love spending time with my family which includes 2 dogs and 5 cats! I also play league flag football, softball, and volunteer with the Orlando Youth Alliance.
